Medabots

Prepare to enter the power-packed universe of the MEDABOTS, where every kid dreams of owning its own high-tech robot pet and pursues one ultimate goal: to become Robattle champion of the world!

Set in the near future, the series revolves around the super-charged battling adventures of a group of kids and their unique, high-performance pet robots (a.k.a. MEDABOTS). Fuelled with artificial intelligence and a specialised arsenal of unique weaponry, Medabots compete against each other in exciting Robattles, with the winners acquiring Medaparts from defeated Medabots. In this high-tech world, every kid hopes the outcome of their playground challenges and backyard Robattles will give them the opportunity to represent their country at the World Robattle Tournament held every four years.

Ikki Tenrio
Ikki is lively, easy going and a bit shy.
He has a strong bond with his Medabot, Metabee. Together, they fight in Robattles in the hopes of making it to the World robattle Tournament.
He is also close to Erika, his childhood friend.
 
Erika
Erika and Ikki have been friends since they were young, but that doesn't stop her from bossing Ikki around.  Erika is a reporter for the school newspaper and always keeps her cameer close at hand.
Erika's Medabot is Brass.
 
Koji
Koji is a snobby rich kid, who is also an ace Medafighter ranked second in Japan.  Koji and his Medabot Sumilidon contantly compete against Ikki and Metabee, but both Ikki and Koji compete for the affections of Karin.
 
Mr. Referee
Mr. Referee is the officail referee of the World Robattle Association.  He is known for his fair judgement and his spectacular entrances.  Mr. Referee has the uncanny ability to show up completely unexpectedly out of anything, even under the most extreme circumstances, wearing the most bizzare disguises.
 
The Screws
Samantha, Spyke, and Sloan are three troublemakers led by Samantha and her Medabot Peppercat.  Spyke is a wimp who's Medabot Cyandog is so laid back he makes lawn chairs look busy.  The Screws are Ikki and Metabee's competitors, but always help when Ikki and Metabee get into trougle... or take the credit when they win!
 
Rubberobo Gang
The Rubberobo Gang is led by the mysterious Dr. Meta- Evil.  Mebers of the gang include Seaslug, Squidguts, Gillgirl, and Shrimplips.  The Rubberobo's goal is to find ancient, rare medals...but for what purpose?

Metabee
Metabee is a KBT- Hercules Beetle Type Medabot. His weapons include wrist mounted laser cannons and Seeker Missiles. 
Metabee is aggressive, hyper, stubborn and tends to jump to conclusions.  He now has a strong friendship with his Medafighter, Ikki, but it wasn't always so rosy.
 
Brass (Sailor-Multi)
Brass is a Sailor- Multi Type Medabot.  Her special attack is Shooting and her Medafighter is Erika.She spends more time acting aas her Medafighter's journalistic assistant than she does fighting Robattles, but she is quite capable of holding her own in a fight situation.
 
Sumilidon
Sumilidon is a Saber-Tooth Tiger type Medabot belonging to Koji. 
Until coming up against Ikki, Sumilidon and Koji Never lost a battle.  A serious Medabot, he encourages Koji when he is down and they share a trusting relationship. 
Sumilidon is best at hand-to-hand combat and ranks along side Rokusho in terms of speed.  His secret weapon is the mysterious Shadow Sword.
 
Rokusho
This mysterious Medabot's got a dark past. His Stag Beetle medal gives him power and agility.  A Chanbara Sword on his right arm makes him good in Robattles.
His medafighter, Dr. Hushi, vanished in a fire and is presumed dead.  Rokusho was reunited with his robot parrot, Batton, and now they look for clues to find Dr. Hushi and they stop rare medals from falling into the hands of the Rubberrobos.
